Operation Christmas Child @ Hope Community Church

"Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God’s love. Since 1993, more than 61 million shoe boxes have been packed, shipped, and delivered across the globe. People of all ages can be involved in this simple, hands-on missions project while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas — Jesus Christ" - Samaritan's Purse.

For several years, Hope Community Church has participated with the church around the world in Operation Christmas Child. Operation Christmas Child gives us the opportunity to bless children around the world while fulfilling the great commission given to us by the Lord Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew. (Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV))

The 2009 deadline has passed. This year we were able to collect 106 boxes. During the November 15 worship service, these shoe boxes were dedicated and the children that would receive these boxes were lifted up in prayer. Please continue to pray for the mission of Operation Christmas child as the boxes are processed at local drop off points and delivered to children world wide. Thank you to everyone who participated in and/or prayed for the work of Operation Christmas Child.
